Executive Director

Maciolek joins Pacesetter SC as the Executive Director with 5 years of experience with the club. Prior to his role as Executive Director, Mike coached the 2011 Boys ECNL RL, 2014 Boys Pre-ECNL, and 2007 Girls ECNL RL at Pacesetter, a Toledo Villa FC USL-Y team in 2024, and was the inaugural year Goalkeeper Coach for Toledo Villa FC men’s and women’s teams. Mike attended Livonia Stevenson HS where he was a 3 year varsity player. After graduating HS he went on to play at Schoolcraft College where his career was cut short by a knee injury. Mike holds his National D, NSCAA Level 1 and 2 GK licenses. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, traveling, grilling, spending time at the lake. His pride and joy are his wife and two children.

Jared lyle

Sporting Director

Lyle joins Pacesetter SC as the Sporting Director with 17 years playing experience, 10 years coaching experience, and 3 years director experience with Pacesetter. Prior to his role as Sporting Director, Jared coached the Bowling Green Women’s Club Soccer Team in 2017, the Bowling Green Men’s Club Soccer Team from 2016-2017, and is most recently the Southview JV/Asst Varsity Boys Soccer Coach. Jared attended and played at Southview HS where he was a 4 year Varsity Letter holder and went on to play soccer for the Bowling Green Men’s Club Soccer team where is was also the captain. Jared received a Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. Jared played for Pacesetter for his entire youth soccer career and holds his US Soccer D Coaching License.

Majd Ali

Girls Director of Coaching

Ali joins Pacesetter SC as the Girls Director of Coaching with 6 years of coaching experience with the club. Prior to his role as Girls Director, Ali served as the youth director from 2022-2024. Prior to his time at Pacesetter, Ali was the head coach of the Sylvania Southview girls’ soccer team from 2013 to 2022 where he initially joined as a volunteer coach in 2012. In 2023 he also took on the role as an Ohio ODP coach. Born and raised in Kuwait, Ali played soccer at The American School of Kuwait, where he captained the varsity team during his junior and senior years. He also played for Al-Yarmouk Club’s U-16 team for three years before signing a professional contract at the age of 16, competing with the first team. In 2008, Ali moved to the United States to attend the University of Toledo, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance with Cum Laude honors while also playing for the university soccer team. Majd holds a USSF D license, a professional development certificate for college coaching, and a special topics diploma in coaching direction.

Boys Director of Coaching

Kaighin joins Pacesetter SC as the Boys Director of Coaching with 10+ years of coaching experience with the club. Prior to his time at Pacesetter, he coached Pacesetter teams from 2008-2018, Clay HS JV from 2007-2009, Clay HS Varsity in 2014, Ottawa Hills HS Boys Varsity Asst. in 2017, Lourdes University Women’s Asst. in 2018, Marietta College Women’s Head Coach from 2019-2022, Club Ohio U17 Head Coach in 2021, GTFC Impact Boys Assistant Director from 2023-2024 and most recently the Bluffton University Men’s Head Coach from 2024-2025. Sean attended Clay HS where he was a 4-year Varsity letterman and continued his soccer career at Owens Community College where he graduated an NJCAA Superior Academic All-American in 2012 as Team Captain of the men’s team. Sean holds his USSF D, USC Premier Diploma, USC Director of Coaching Diploma, and USC Psychology and Mental Performance Diploma.

Youth Director/Foundation Lead

Van Der Meulen joins Pacesetter SC as the Youth Director with 6 years of coaching experience with the club. Prior to his time at Pacesetter, he coached as the Bowling Green HS Girls Varsity Asst. from 2010-2013, the Anthony Wayne Hs Girls Varsity Asst. from 2014-2019, and the Bowling Green State University Women’s Asst. from 2020-2023. Erik attended Stockdale HS where he competed for 3 years on Varsity and was First Team All Area selection, also receiving the coach’s award. Hecontinued his soccer career at Irvine Valley College. Erik holds his USSF D. Outside of Pacesetter, Erik enjoys traveling, playing table tennis, and LEGOs. He is married with a daughter and a dog.

Goalkeeping Specialist

Shannon has been deeply involved in soccer for 34 years, building an extensive career as both a player and a leader in the sport. His journey began with the Springfield Blazers before progressing to Fort Wayne Citadel and later moving to Toledo, where he continued to develop his skills and passion for the game. Throughout his playing career, Ross competed at various levels, from recreational and travel teams to collegiate soccer. He earned a full scholarship to Huntington College in Indiana but ultimately relocated to Toledo, where he further embedded himself in the local soccer community. In 2016, Ross took on a leadership role as he ran Toledo United during the club’s time in the Premier League of America (PLA), demonstrating his ability to manage and develop high-level teams. Specializing in goalkeeping, Ross focuses on key aspects of the position, including shot-stopping, positioning, and distribution. His expertise in these areas has made him a valuable mentor for goalkeepers looking to refine their skills and excel in competitive play. Ross continues to contribute to the sport by sharing his experience and knowledge, helping to shape the next generation of soccer players and goalkeepers.

Emily glick

Director of Tournaments & Special Events

Emily grew up in London, Ontario, Canada. She was a three sport letter winning athlete in high school helping the Vikings to 2 gold medals in cross-country, 1 gold medal in hockey and 2 gold medals and a silver in soccer.  Emily earned a full scholarship to the University of Toledo and helped the Rockets to two MAC championships. She studied Middle Childhood Education and later obtained her Masters in Special Education and is currently working in Sylvania Schools as an Intervention Specialist. Emily is married to her husband, Travis. They live in Holland with their 3 boys; Chase, Jonah, Tucker and their daughter, Peyton. Before coaching and directing at Pacesetter, Emily was the Director of Coaching at Anthony Wayne United and also coached at the high school. Emily currently holds her Director of Coaching Diploma and “D” Coaching License.
