Erik has been an Assistant Coach with the Bowling Green State University Women’s Soccer program since 2020; helping them win two MAC Championships, and set a MAC record of four consecutive championships. He has worked with players awarded MAC offensive player of the year, MAC tournament MVP, as well as several MAC 1st and 2nd team honorees.

Prior to BGSU, Erik coached at Anthony Wayne HS for six years, helping them reach the State Final in 2019 with a program record of 22-1-0, as well as winning three consecutive league titles. He was awarded Northwest Ohio D1 All District Assistant Coach of the Year in both 2019 and 2016.

Erik also previously coached at Pacesetter Soccer Club from 2017-21, leading teams to State Cup Championships and USYS National League qualification, as well as various league and tournament titles.

I have a passion for developing players' skill level and seeing them progress through years of hard work and dedication. My goal is for players to leave every session believing they improved that day. Majd Ali

Youth Phase Lead

Bio:

Majd was born and raised in Kuwait where he attended The American School of Kuwait. Played on the soccer varsity team for 4 years and played for Al-Yarmouk Club U-16's for 3 years before he signed his professional contract at the age of 16 to play with the first team.

Majd attended The University of Toledo and received his bachelor's degree in Finance with Cum Laude honors while playing soccer for UT during those 4 years.

Majd was the Head Coach of the girls Southview soccer program for 9 years. During that time, he was named D1 district head coach of the year in 2016 & 2022, and lead the cougars to their first ever NLL title in 2022, which he says is his proudest moment in the sport. In 2023, he was a volunteer at the Lourdes University women's soccer program to gain more experience about the next level.

Majd has been a coach at Pacesetter for 4 years and took over the Youth Phase director role in 2023, where he is excited to work with our boys and girls to help any way he can with their development.

Majd currently holds a USSF D license, professional development certificate (college coach), special topics diploma (director of coaching), perusing his USSF C license soon.

Emily Glick

Bio:

Emily grew up in London, Ontario, Canada. She was a three sport letter winning athlete in high school helping the Vikings to 2 gold medals in cross-country, 1 gold medal in hockey and 2 gold medals and a silver in soccer. Emily served as the team captain her senior year in soccer and was named MVP. Emily played on the London United Soccer Club playing in many showcase tournaments in the United States and won a gold medal playing for Team Ontario in 2009. Emily earned a full scholarship to the University of Toledo and helped the Rockets to two MAC championships. She studied Middle Childhood Education and recently obtained her Masters in Special Education and is currently working in Sylvania Schools. Emily is married to her husband, Travis. They live in Holland with their 3 boys; Chase, Jonah and Tucker. Before coaching at Pacesetter, Emily was the Director of Coaching at Anthony Wayne United and also coached at the highschool.

Allen Newbold

Bio:

Coach Allen grew up playing Soccer in St. Louis. Played one year of soccer in College before joining the United States Army. Coach Allen played and coached soccer throughout his time in the Army. Retireing from the Army after 23 years he moved to Toledo to continue his coaching career. He has coached at varias High Schools around the Toledo Area, Currently on the Notre Dame Academy coaching staff. Coach Allen has been coaching soccer for 20+ years.

Eric Haecker

Bio:

Grew up playing for Internationals. Went to St. Edward High School and was a 2 year starter for Varsity. Moved to Toledo in 2010 to attended the University of Toledo. Played club soccer for 4 years and was President and Captain for 3. Starting coaching in 2014 for Glass City soccer and was eventually the Director of Coaching for the club in 2018. In 2019 coached at Anthony Wayne United for two years and then arrived at Pacestter in 2021. Coached at Cardinal Stritch High School Varsity for 4 years, assistant coach for 3 and head coach for 1. Went to become St. Francis assistant coach from 2019- 2021. Currently coaches youth teams at Pacestter.

Kenan Newbold

Kevin Omore

Bio:

Sobour (Kevin) Omore was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He Started playing soccer at the age of 5 at Kabi FC Academy in Abidjan until the age of 18. Played in the OISSU high tournaments in Abidjan for 7 years while attending Saint Jean Bosco high school and La Farandole Internationale. Kevin participated in many U-19 showcase tournaments in Tunisia and Ghana and as a Kabi FC players facing professional side such as Étoile du Sahel. He then, move to the U.S and Attended Minot State University, The University of Alabama At Birmingham and ended transferring to Lourdes University Sylvania, OH in 2015. Kevin played two seasons at Lourdes and made it to the playoffs his first year. During his last season (2016), Kevin Played in 14 matches, making seven starts, for the Gray Wolves … scored seven goals and handed out one assist for 15 total points, second most on the team. Kevin started his coaching career helping coach Barry Spitzer with U-15 at Pacesetter in 2015. Seven Years later, Kevin is back coaching Pacesetter 2014 Boys Black and 2014 Boys White. Kevin can be found still playing soccer locally in Sylvania/ Toledo through multiple men’s soccer leagues.

Elliot Borge

Bio:

Elliot's coaching background includes 3 years of collegiate experience for Wheaton College (IL) Men's Soccer (2016-2018), where he previously played as a 4 year starter, earning an All-American designation and a national championship appearance. He also served as head coach for multiple youth teams in Chicagoland for players age 10 - 15. Additionally, Elliot is experienced in private training for those eager to accelerate their growth. His purpose as a coach is to help players build skill, self-confidence, and a love for The Beautiful Game.

I am originally from Michigan where I grew up playing for the Michigan Wolves. After college I started coaching with a Michigan Rush as well as a goalkeeper coach at University of Detroit Mercy. I moved to Ohio in 2015 and was with Pacesetter for 2 seasons as the goalkeeping director as well the coach of 2 teams. During my time at Pacesetter I was fortunate to be part of the inaugural Toledo Villa FC working with the men's and women's goalkeepers. After Pacesetter I was so the Perrysburg Soccer Club for successful seasons.

My wife Caite who the Varsity coach for girls coach at Notre Dame Academy reside in Toledo with our son Brooks and our dog Finnigan.

Eddie Baker

Bio:

Edmund Baker was born in Guyana, South America migrating to America in 1977. He played club soccer for various clubs in Guyana and at 18 years of age he was selected for the Guyana National Team. Eddie represented Guyana for 12 years from 1964 to 1976. During his time playing for Guyana he did his coaching license through Guyana federation in 1974. He also has his National Diploma from the NSCAA and his USSF D License. In 1978 while in the U.S he was selected as the Guyana National Team Head Coach for the world cup qualifiers. Eddie worked worked in New York for 24 years and in 2002 relocated to Toledo, Ohio. Upon his arrival in Toledo he had stints coaching at Perrysburg HS as well as Bowsher High School and also coached for Pacesetter Soccer Club where he has been on staff for over ten years. The legend of Eddie Baker continues to mold children in the Northwest Ohio area.

Marcy Clark

Bio:

My name is Marcy Clark and I grew up in Macomb, Michigan. I played club soccer my whole life and won a National Championship in 2017. I continued my soccer career playing Division 1 collegiate soccer at the University of Toledo for all four years. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and I am currently working towards my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Toledo. This is my first year coaching at Pacesetter and I love it! Can't wait to move forward with the club.

Paige DeShetler

Bio:

I grew up in Sylvania, Ohio. I played soccer at Pacesetter throughout my youth and up until high school. I attended Sylvania Southview High School, and was a 4-year varsity soccer player, starting at center back and outside back. During my soccer career at Southview, I was the captain both my junior and senior years, winning team MVP my junior year. I helped the team win our first ever Northern Lakes League title for women’s soccer in school history my senior year. In addition to soccer, I was also a varsity softball player, and captain of the team and awarded team MVP my senior year. I now attend the University of Toledo where I study bioengineering, and I plan to pursue prosthetic fabrication and manufacturing as a career. I still compete in soccer on Toledo’s club team during the fall season, and am involved in many academic extracurriculars, as well.

Board of Directors

The purpose of the board of directors is to create and review a statement of mission and purpose that articulates the club’s goals, means and primary constituents served. Further, the board is responsible for selecting, supporting and evaluating key personnel of the club. The board must ensure effective planning to be able to ensure adequate financial resources for the club to fulfill its mission. The board must protect the assets of the club and provide proper financial oversight that includes annual budgeting and ensuring that proper financial controls are in place.
Additionally, the board has the responsibility to build a competent board, to articulate prerequisites for candidates, to orient new members and periodically and comprehensively evaluate their own performance.
Finally, the board is charged to ensure legal and ethical integrity and to enhance the club’s public standing.

BOARD MEMBER SELECTION
The Club Code of Regulations defines the number of the board members that can serve. Board members are selected to serve on the board to replace vacant seats or to expand the board membership up to the maximum number of trustees as defined by our Code of Regulations. At times, board members are selected to serve based upon a specific skill or expertise needed. At other times, the board looks to identify an individual who is currently and actively supporting the club’s initiatives through volunteer efforts and attendance at monthly board meetings.
